Happy Memorial Day (weekend!)!

We have had a busy weekend! It all started Friday with:
  • Ellie and Jayna having end of the year field trips. Beautiful weather and much fun had by all!
  • After the field trips, we took the big girls to Toys R Us to get "happy end of the school year (almost!)".....ROLLER BLADES. They were so excited--and just on Thursday, Ellie had asked "When can I start doing jobs to earn money to buy roller blades?!"
  • Saturday we hung out at home, doing all the fun things that school and activities keep us from doing during the week.
  • We took a few bike ride jogs--the girls agreed that EARLY in the morning is much more fun than late afternoon! Ellie picked up on hearing the owls as soon as we started moving! Jayna noticed that there were not very many cars on the road, so we could hear each other better!
  • On Sunday the girls participated in worship at our church--enjoy the videos of them singing on stage. Jayna was so nervous, but she loved it and had such joy all over her face the entire time!
  • Andy hooked up the sprinkler, and all 4 kiddos ran through it. (No, Colin did not RUN, Andy ran him through!)
  • And tomorrow (Monday!) we are going to our favorite northern Wisconsin get away--Door County! We're going to explore some caves, stop at the candy store...and of course, make a stop at Sweetie Pies!
Happy Memorial Day! What a wonderful country we live in, with so many choices and freedoms! Thanks to all who have made that possible for each one of us!

Enjoy the recent pictures and the videos!

This is what happens when Colin is napping in your room, when the big girls are in their room...and mom's bed is not yet made --you build a nest, cozy up with your beloved blankie...and go to sleep!

One of the things Ellie was so excited about this weekend was the changing of the sheets! She helped me get the big girls' sheets changed and then she made the "display" on Jayna's bed. Jayna was just beaming to discover "Princess Jayna's" bed, complete with many friends...

Ellie took advantage of the little girls being inside....ahhh.....having both swings to lounge in!

The girls were excited to get the squirt guns out....even Ava knew she could "get" Ellie!

But here is the start of the "real" battle! Watch out Ellie...payback is....

...often brutal!!!! Much fun was had and we even discovered another use for the squirt guns--to water the front flowers...aka: spying on the attendees at the for sale open house next door! :)

What? I'm cold and the sun is in my eyes...and you want me to SMILE for you?!?!?!

Leaping and jumping through the icy cold water!

Brrr!!!....but FUN none the less!

"Hi!" "Hi" is Colin's favorite word, next to "Dada"! If you are not paying attention to Colin, he simply says 'hi'!

Hmmmm...I think I might go down this slide.....

But on 2nd thought, I'll just stand here...after all, there might be scary grass at the bottom of this big bad slide!
