NHCS Fine Arts Festival

One of my favorite nights at New Hope Christian School is the evening of the Fine Arts Festival--the night starts off with a musical with the younger kids (grades 1-5) and then after the musical, the school is opened...with ALL of the students' art work on display. Everything they have created in art class is beautifully displayed and it is such fun! Fun for the kids to show their families what they have worked hard on during the year and fun for the parents to walk through the halls seeing the artwork.

This year, the musical was "Acorns to Oaks"--remember the Bible story about the seed that is on the ground? What type of seed are you growing into?! Will you withstand the storms?! Are you being scattered?! Are you a 'weed'?! Are you strong for just 1 year?! The songs in the musical were very touching and beautifully sung.

We didn't even think to take photos of the girls' art work, but our friends the Popps did of their girls who are in Ellie and Jayna's classes. They also have good videos of the songs the children sang so wonderfully. The children singing these songs is just precious--I can understand why the girls love to sit at our computer and play the videos of their performances over and over and over and over. You can see the Popp's blog entry here and here.
