Is it even called "Mannequin Night"? Or is it "Caroling Night"?
Well, if you are a Badger State Girl Choir girl, it IS the annual downtown Neenah caroling night....where there are also live mannequins featured in shop windows. A VERY fun and festive night to kick off the holiday season.
This year, it was warmer temperature-wise than last year...but felt colder.
I think it is because we didn't really have COLD weather prior to the mannequin night.

while we took in the store windows with the mannequins.
Let's just say that despite the crowds, we should have brought our stroller for Colin.
The stores get really creative in their displays and it is tough to capture our favorite scenes...

But this one was one of my favorites, from a men's clothing store:
"Dad's always BIG in the eyes of his children", the sign says...
"Dad's always BIG in the eyes of his children", the sign says...
And then you look to your right and see a "mannequin" holding a pair of HUGE HUGE HUGE jeans. Cute.

After the caroling fun, we moved on to phase 2 of the evening....both big girls had a sleep over!
Ellie had Lily sleep over at our house, and Jayna slept over at Anna Rose's home...first time sleeping away at a friend's house!
At our house, we had a little sewing project...because these girls love to sew!
The project of the night was "homemade shower caps"!
It was quite an experience...if I learned 1 thing, it was to try making the project ahead of doing it with the girls! My 2nd go at shower caps went MUCH smoother! Take a peek at Ellie's commentary she wrote on the dry erase board downstairs...

As for Jayna...she had a blast! Anna Rose is her oldest friend...she has pretty much known her from birth (Sunday School at church). She came home floating on cloud nine....
