Every year, the Town of Menasha has 2 weeks of week nights where they drive a Santa Float through the neighborhoods. This float is escorted by police and fire trucks with sirens blazing. The first year we lived in this house, we were SO concerned--we just kept hearing siren after siren after siren.
My comment that first year was "Nice. No wonder our taxes are so high!" ...but it turns out that the Santa Float Tour is funded all by donations. When Santa sees the kids in the neighborhood, a (decent size) bag of candy is thrown to the kids with a Merry Christmas!
This year, I had my phone with me and captured the fun on video....for those that have never experienced this and want to see it, click HERE.
Merry Christmas!
